abstract : | We consider the downlink of a time-division duplexing multicell multiuser multiple-input, multiple-output systemwhere the base transceiver stations are equipped with a large number of antennas. We consider both the uplink anddownlink systems and analyze our proposed schemes in comparison with the conventional schemes. For the downlinkprecoding, we derive approximations of achievable rates with linear precoding techniques, namely Zero Forcing (ZF),matched filtering, eigen-beam forming and regularized ZF. For uplink case of the detection technique, we deriveapproximations of achievable rates with linear detection techniques, namely ZF, maximum ratio combining, minimummean squared error and eigen value decomposition power allocation. Furthermore, we considered are considered tightapproximations in the large system limit with an infinitely large number of antennas and user terminals, but match oursimulations for realistic system dimensions. We further show that our proposed schemes can match the performance ofconventional schemes in respective environments of the uplink and the downlink scenarios. Further, we use twochannel environments for further analysis of our algorithm: Long Term Evolution Advanced and millimeter-wavemobile broadband. |
